JUNEAU, Alaska - Juneau's black bears are winding down for winter, but there are a few still out and about.
KINY (http://is.gd/faoSM3 ) says the Alaska Department of Fish and Game is taking fewer local calls about bears.
Fish and Game biologist Ryan Scott says some bears remain outside, however.
Scott says a couple of young bears have been spotted in the Lena Point area and bears have been spotted downtown. Also, his office has gotten calls about sightings in the Mendenhall Valley.
