FAIRBANKS — Check out a slide show tonight at 7 in Room 208 of the Gruening Building. Fairbanks adventurer Stan Justice is presenting about a hike he and Anna Berge did four years ago in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge
In July 2007, Justice and Berge walked up the Egaksrak and Leffingwell Rivers, over Bathtub Ridge and down Drain Creek to where their folding canoe was cached. They paddled down the Kongakut River and along the Beaufort Sea coast to the village of Kaktovik.
The slide show will feature pictures of the trip, as well as photos of the birds, flowers and animals that call the refuge home.
The show is co-sponsored by the Alaska Alpine Club and Northern Alaska Environmental Center.
