FAIRBANKS — The reward for information about a Fairbanks woman missing in Anchorage since early October is now at $2,000, according to a Facebook group devoted to her return set up by the group Project Angel Eyes.

Mary Anne Alexie traveled to Anchorage to attend Alaska Career College on Oct. 9 and called about noon to confirm she arrived. She reportedly never made contact with the school, and friends last heard from her about 3 a.m. Oct. 10. She called, sounding confused, and said she was in the Spenard neighborhood and did not know where to go.

Friends and family held a vigil for Alexie on Nov. 13 in Anchorage, on her 34th birthday.

Anchorage police spokesman Lt. Dave Parker said Tuesday that there have been no subsequent reports about where Alexie might be.

She is 4-feet-11-inches tall, weighs 120 pounds and has brown hair and brown eyes.

Friends ask anyone who might have seen her to call Anchorage police at 786-8900.
