To the editor:
Alan Dick came up to Alaska in the late 1960s and attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where he got his teaching certificate. Afterward, he taught for many, many years in rural Alaska. Many of his good friends and mentors were wise old-timers.
While he has lived mostly in the Bush, he also has lived on the grid and understands the issues important to all of the people of his new diverse district. His heart will always yearn for the Bush, but it is ultimately with all the people of Alaska. He is the only candidate for District 38 that fully understands all of the people living in Goldstream, Ester, the Denali Borough and the many villages.
I want a representative who represents all of the people, not just some of them and their special interests, so I would like to invite you to join me in re-electing Rep. Alan Dick.
