Can anyone tell me if there is an archive of ArcticCam comments? Lots of comments today, and when I came on a little while ago when I hit "Read All Comments", it gave me messages from about 5 AM today and nothing before that. I would like to see the comments from about 5 PM yesterday too. Thanks to all, enjoying all the lovely comments.
hey all! Beauty reigns supreme in Fairbanks today!
Hey markg454--- how can you be an OU Sooner and an Aggie?? There's a fundamental gap in my understanding of that one... my hubby is an Aggie and all the Ags I know are 100% Maroon Blood Bleeders with no room for another team, esp. from O. Just curious!
I've been jumping on and off the cam all day, caught a few camsters, but I still missed Janet! Sorry girl, maybe Markg or 3cl caught the picture for you?
The Blue Corolla was Janet, I believe or has she left Fairbanks for home? I can't remember. I'm still reeling from the OU-Texas game..... Dang, I live in Austin and I'm a OU Sooner and a Texas A&M Aggie. It is going to be a long football season for me. At least my NY Giants are doing well!
Wow..I can't stop looking at the cam today. It's 85 and muggy here today and I have to turn on the air in the house to maintain. I'd love to get bundled up and head out for a snow hike. Hmmm... got to find a job up there. I work in the television business..an engineer/IT manager at a local NBC station here in town. In fact one of our reporter/anchor persons came from a Fairbanks station. Does anyone remember Tracy Gladden? She worked for one of the local Fairbanks TV stations. I'm constantly hitting her up for info about what it's like to live up there. She's showed me some pics from her time up there and some good stories to boot.
Hello ArticCammers! Oh me, look how pretty Fairbanks is!! Gosh, I would love to be there about now before it gets really really cold! Haven't seen the cam in a few days and look what I missed!! A naked guy with his dogs? How funny would that be. Gosh I can attest to some of the drunks around town. I stayed in the Marriot in June and behind the hotel on the South Side (I think it was south, I was SO turned around there) there is this bar that has an open door I think 24/7 and ooh me the drunks do lolligag around that place. But that doesn't stop me from loving Fairbanks.
Harriet, your turn to be in Fairbanks is just around the corner. I'm so envious with you going at Christmas time. That would be so neat to go at Christmas. And we ate at Lavells(sp.?) couple of times while we were there. It was very good.
Arrgh!! Our No.1 Sooner football team lost to TEXAS. And also the Dallas Cowboys lost again! What is going on here anyway? Even though I live in Oklahoma, I am a super Dallas Cowboys fan. We all are around here.
It was 86 degrees here today, and gasoline is a cheap $2.85. Can't complain too much. But even with the warm temps, the trees are beginning to turn anyway. We have really cool evenings and mornings.
Kingfisher, my husband is going to Colorado soon for his elk hunt. Those elk can't be found close by so he better get one or else.ha And then he gets back just in time for deer (I think muzzleloader?) This is his giddy time of the year. Starts acting like a kid around Christmas. ha Guess you're just sitting back and living off your hunts. I would like to try moose chili. That sounds yummy. BTW how much daylight is there in Fairbanks now.
Everyone have a nice week ahead. Must get ready for Monday morning at the office. The snow is gorgeous! Everyone enjoy!! Caroline
