Panel addresses violence against Native women

Published Thursday, May 1, 2008

ANCHORAGE -- A three-day conference was held in Anchorage to look at the issue of violence against Alaska Native women.

The panel, which concluded Wednesday, included some of the state's most prominent Alaskans and top law enforcement officials.

A separate panel of four women who had been raped or physically abused spoke out about their experiences. Among them was U.S. House candidate Diane Benson. She told the crowd that she was repeatedly sexually abused in foster care.

Benson has talked publicly about her experiences for a dozen years.

So where is the rest of the story? Where, who and why. The Neo Con owned News Media like the Daily news-Miner manipulates the news so all the reader gets is what the Neo Con Parasites want us to hear and read.
Fairbanks Daily News-Miner echoes articles from the Andhorage Daily News a day late and is only several lines long. Is that to just save money or a deliberate dumbing of America?
Since they're owned by 4-5 news conglomerates all we get is a filtered and one way view on any news. Anything negative to the Neo Cons actions, policies and idealogies will not be printed.. And Alaska Natives don't rank in Fairbanks and Anchorage. Any violence against Alaska Natives has a mandatory mention about if alcohol was involved or suspected. Why don't we hear about stuff like that with non natives?
We don't hear about all the Native men who were murdered and thrown into the Chena River. We don't hear about the racist actions of Jeff O'Bryant and the Colonial one sided justice system against Alaska Natives.
And our Alaska Native leaders don't speak out. Either they're too timid, or they don't to rock the boat, or they're desperately pretending to be white. Heh Heh Heh, No amount of scrubbing will get the Native out though.
In order to get any substance out of this story you have to go to ADN.com for the Anchorage Daily News where they have a big article on this.

It's an Associate Press article that they reposted. Reading Comprehension.

The issue at hand here, JoeSmith, is NOT about reading comprehension....it's about an incomplete story. And feel free, JoeSmith, to try and dissect my post for errors or anything else that might be troubling you today. Go for a walk and free your mind of those evil spirits.
