Letter to the Editor
Nader for president

To the editor:
For everybody who loves the Alaska dividend, one of the presidential candidates for 2008 has addressed many Alaska issues, such as removing all taxation off human labor and mandating that public land resource revenue must go back to the public. This candidate received 10 percent of Alaska’s vote for President in 2000. I have discussed the Alaska dividend idea with Ralph Nader for America’s resource revenue to be invested in alternative energy, returning an annual dividend to all in America. So everybody has a direct interest in protecting the resource and direct benefit from the investments, to stop the war for oil.
Ralph Nader as president will work on the issues he has worked on for the last 45 years. He has addressed all the issues: consumer protection, non-intervention, mortgage openness to protect homeowners, corporate responsibility, no tax on labor or capital, full resource and corporate license revenue to the public, complete health care for all Americans, land grant school funding and many other issues.
Ralph Nader needs 3,128 signatures by Aug. 6, to be on Alaska’s ballot and raise these issues in the 2008 presidential race. Visit www.votenader.org to print your own Alaska signature petition. I will be petitioning for signatures today at 4 p.m. by the Peace Center on Gaffney Road, and 6 p.m. at the corner of College Road and University Avenue. I will also videotape any comments or songs you have for Ralph Nader or Matthew Gonzalez. I will put your words and songs on www.youtube.com/naderalaska to share with America. After the worst president in history and massive election fraud, we need the life-saver Ralph Nader for president.

Ralph Nader's policies look like communism to me. Sorry, I will not support him.
Now I'll think twice about ever voting for Dae Miles again.
Hahahahahahaha....
I'm sorry but a vote for Ralph Nader is a vote wasted. Realistically, there is no chance in hell he will garner more than 5% of the nation wide popular vote and would be lucky to win one state from the electoral college. One of the most important rights Americans have is the right to vote, let's not waste it.
The only wasted vote, is the one not cast.
if you vote for who you believe in its not wasted. you have to believe in the one you vote for.
why vote for the lesser of two evils? if i choose not to vote for anyone its because i dont support them or maybe most of their views, it not wasted it a right, if you know what i mean.
i personally like Ron Paul!
may the best man or woman win and i pray for America's future as they will be in control of this great nation for years to come.
Oh Boy! Darth Nader!
A vote not cast is only wasted if the voter was informed enough to know what best to do with his vote.
People who cast uninformed votes not only waste their own votes, they cancel out the vote of an informed voter and contribute to electing charlatans year after year after year after year after...

Oh, c'mon - you guys don't actually believe the presidential political process of the USA is even worth the time and energy to discuss, do ya'??? For a couple of decades we've had the same families running the country... The Supreme Court APPOINTED current President Shrub. . . Delegates do not even have to vote for the candidate in the primaries who garnered the most votes. . . "Super delegates" are political insiders who can even take money and gifts from those who want their all-important support. In presidential politics the vote of the common ordinary American is worthless.
I have voted for Ralph Nader in the past and I will again!
Run Ralph, Run! The 'two-party system' is an insult to everybody who can count to three. Demoblicans and Republicrats are the problem, not the solution. It's never a wasted vote to vote for someone who should be elected; it is always a wasted vote to vote for a corporate-sponsored figurehead. For the sake of a country which needs ethical, determined, principled leadership, vote for Nader/Gonzales 2008!
A vote for Nader is a vote for McCain
Ralph, More power to your ideas. Keep working to end this insane war and bring our people home. You've been out there making speeches, doing interviews and writing articles and have written at least three books in the last 6 years. And you've been writing weekly commentary on the things that really matter, at http://www.nader.org .The question is where has the Press been on these important matters you discuss? where have the "Talking Heads" been on corporate crime and the profiteers of this war? The population is too busy being entertained and watching Sporting events to get involved, they take the easy route and don't bother to think, settling instead for snippets and quick slogans. Knowing what's going on in a Corporate controlled State takes work. Thank you Ralph, for all the good things you've done to protect the People of this Country. Amazing how quickly they forget, or perhaps they just don't know. Almost everyone's lives, or that of friends and relatives of theirs, have been improved and made safer because of you, Some wouldn't be alive today, if not for Ralph Nader! Their minds have been intentionally bombarded with with Corporate propaganda and the Democrat Party scapegoating machine. Clinton and that phony Terry McAuliffe should be ashamed of their comments regarding you. They continue the DNC scapegoating myth. thank you for your great service to this Country. More power to your ideas. http://www.votenader.org....All the rest of you out there, buckle-up! ....... Ron Paul could beat up Ralph Nader in the Octagon....
Skagdog --
Did you see the TUF fight last night? Pretty lackluster performance overall. I think Rampage was justified in being upset, but, hey, you never know how the judges are gonna score a bout, right?
Oh, wait, I'm off topic, huh?
I voted for Nader before. Probably won't do it again (even though a Democratic vote for president never seems to matter here in Alaska either).
For my tastes, Ralph is too much the federal government paternalist and I think we have enough of those in D.C. already. I think he is a well-meaning man, but "the road to hell is paved with good intentions".
I want the federal government out of my state (U.S. military excepted) and out of my life. I want government constrained by the United States Constitution as envisioned by the founding fathers.
I'll be writing in Ron Paul.
Darth Nader ! OMG laughing at that one !!!!
Oh yeah, "America" deserves a royalty check from AK. Yeah right. Why should Alaskans bail out the US? So, America can pilfer away what we Alaskans haven't even gotten, yet? Forget that notion.
If Texas, Louisiana, VA, all the other states had been smart enough to demand payment for their natural resources, they might have some control and leverage.
Unfortunately they didn't. Jay Hammond did so for Alaska, not the US.
No, I won't vote for Darth Nader.
Someone needs to lay off the weed!
Hey cbnfvr.......You mean you have wasted your vote in the past and will do so again in the future?
A vote for McCain is a vote for Nader
