Stabbing

Fairbanks Police Department officers contacted a 32-year-old stabbing victim at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital at around 5 a.m. Sunday. The man had been stabbed multiple times, claiming he was the victim of a robbery attempt while walking between Second and Third avenues near Barnette Street downtown. The man was treated for the wounds and released, police Lt. Tara Tippett said. Police are investigating the incident, she said.

Burglary

Police responded Saturday night to a home at Bridget Avenue after the tenant reported someone had broken in through the back door, stolen a credit card and other items and vandalized the house. Police responded but did not find evidence leading to suspects, Tippett said.

Reported gunshots

Police took a report early Sunday morning that someone living near the corner of C Street heard gunshots and saw a man walking around the front of a nearby house. Police were unable to locate a suspect, Tippett said.

Domestic violence

Police responded early Sunday to a Fourth Avenue home and arrested a 39-year-old man on charges of domestic violence after he allegedly assaulted his nephew, Tippett said.
