• Anthony L. Gonzalez, 24, was charged with fourth-degree assault after striking his wife on Oct. 25, according to Fairbanks police.

Police responded to Bassett Army Hospital, where they observed the woman with multiple injuries to her head and neck. She said Gonzalez had struck her for an unknown reason, causing a cut lip, face pain and multiple abrasions to her head and neck. Gonzalez said he didn’t remember the alleged assault and told police he may have “blacked out” during the incident.

• Arvind Chittambakkam, 29, was charged with DUI after being stopped by Alaska State Troopers for driving erratically and striking the curb on University Avenue.

Chittambakkam was stopped at 1:48 a.m. Oct. 26. He appeared to be extremely intoxicated, with a strong odor of alcohol. He required several attempts to give a trooper his drivers license and registration. He failed field-sobriety tests. Chittambakkam registered a breath-alcohol level of 0.190.
