Motor vehicle accident

A Fairbanks man suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident Saturday on the Steese Highway.

Michael Priest, 45, was treated and released from Fairbanks Memorial Hospital following an accident near 4 Mile of the highway.

Alaska State Troopers said Priest was traveling north in a white Lexus four-door sedan when he encountered some steering problems and struck the barriers in the median. The vehicle then traveled across the right lane and into the ditch. Priest was wearing his seat belt.

Vehicle theft

A vehicle was reported stolen and was found damaged Sunday morning in Tanana. The 2005 GMC pickup was from someone’s yard and found in a nearby driveway according to a Village Public Safety Officer. Troopers are asking anyone who may have information to call the VPSO at 366-7158.
