The house is quiet,

No pitter paw,

My puppies are missing,

They have gone to the spa.

Their hair will be trimmed,

Their nails will be cut,

My carpet is safe

They won’t scoot their butt.

Waiting for Santa’s big heavy pack,

Bones, and treats upon his back,

Tucker waits patiently under the bed,

Chance waits on top cocking his head

Christmas is a time for cheers

Puppies, kittens and bunny ears

Barking will bring a big hurrah

As it gets no better than Santa Paws

— Wilma Yarnal, Fairbanks
