Here is a photo of a beaver that I noticed on the west bank of the gravel pit just off of Danby Street and the Johansen Expressway on the evening of May 2. I think it was looking for food.

This is my dog, Stumpy. He is a Samoyed. When he was born he lost his foot and that is how he got his name.

I decided to make the best of the snow Fairbanks received on April 30. Even the "snowpeople" are ready for bathing suit season!

While going to the dump one day this Raven was sitting on a snow berm and he leaned over and picked up a blue ribbon. I thought it was a winning shot so I call it my, "Blue Ribbon Raven".

While on a recent walk, Holly Erick, 2, tried out all the puddles.

Me and my best bud, Buddy, are pictured ice fishing at Butte Lake off the Denali Highway. Buddy loves to ride and rode the snogo quite nicely, sitting in front of me.

Former Gov. Frank Murkowski's railcar home on his Chena riverfront property off of Chena Pump Road Friday morning, May 2, 2008. Last February, the former governor and his wife unsuccessfully applied for a common property tax break — one available to residents who live in Fairbanks most of the year — for a Chena Pump Road property that accommodates no full-time home, only the converted railroad car. After being denied, he wrote to the Fairbanks North Star Borough that the qualifications for the tax break — a partial exemption on assessed property value — are “unclear.”
