Two good friends of ours called to tell me what they saw today May 9. All these years in Alaska—too many to mention (for them), they have never seen raven babies. So I went over to take a photo. Seems they where hungry, I could hear them squealing for food.
“One man gathers what another man spills.” Just passing by the transfer station on Sunday afternoon, May 4, and I was very surprised to see one determined man's ingenuity.
I love this photo of my son Brock Renson, age 7, ice fishing at Twin Lakes in March. Brock and my husband Mark, were flown out by our friend Tim Carrier. Brock is 52 inches tall, the pike is 40 inches in length. Only in Alaska . . .
We had snow, but not enough for the dog sled to pull my granddaughter run around. So we decided to take a walk with the wheelbarrow. Our pet dogs, two Bischones, George and GiGi, and our white German Shepherd Sam joined us.
Me and my best bud, Buddy, are pictured ice fishing at Butte Lake off the Denali Highway. Buddy loves to ride and rode the snogo quite nicely, sitting in front of me.

This was taken on Monday, May 5 at the Nordale bridge at about 6 p.m. The ice was jammed up about 3/4 of a mile.
