FAIRBANKS — Gov. Sean Parnell has reappointed three members of the board of directors of the Alaska Energy Authority and the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority. The same board serves both organizations.
Among the three appointees, all of whom hold seats reserved for members of the public, is former Fairbanks legislator Gary Wilken. Wilken served in the state Senate from 1997 to 2008 and has operated small businesses in Fairbanks. He has lived in Fairbanks for 55 years.
The other two members reappointed are Robert Sheldon, founder of Arbor Capital Management Inc. and a member of the Commission on Judicial Conduct, and Wilson Hughes, chief operating officer of GCI since 1991 and who was recently named chief executive officer and president of The Alaska Wireless Network, LLC, formed by GCI and Alaska Communications.
Sheldon and Hughes are both from Anchorage.
