Letter to the editor

Vote with me

To the editor:  Municipal elections are happening now and we need to get out and vote!

Oct. 1 is election day for the city of Fairbanks, city of North Pole, and for the Fairbanks North Star Borough Assembly and school board. We need representatives that embody trust, transparency, and tenacity to get business done for us all. For too long, those with the most money have gotten to decide what happens to us average working Alaskans.

After much vetting, conversations, research, and understanding of the type of person that can represent us and our values, I have compiled the list of candidates that I will be voting for or supporting this election.

If you value the working class, first responders, children, driving on plowed roads, getting those without homes off the street and into jobs with proper care, parks, and safety — vote with me. If you care about your neighbors, your friends, and your family — vote with me.

Vote Oct. 1 with me:

Borough Assembly: Shaun Tacke, Mindy O’Neall, Geoffrey Wildridge, Matthew Cooper

Borough school board: Brandon Boylan, Jennifer Luke

Fairbanks City Council: Julie Smyth, Valerie Therrien

Fairbanks mayor: Kathryn Dodge

North Pole City Council: Santa Claus

In-person absentee voting is going on now, so go vote and be counted.
