Visit the health center

To the editor: Health care is a big topic. It can be expensive, stressful and frustrating to navigate. But Fairbanks has an overlooked gem of an organization striving every day to provide excellent and affordable health, dental and behavioral care to Alaskans — the Interior Community Health Center. The center bills for services using a sliding fee discount schedule based on a patient’s income and family size. The center serves all patients, regardless of their ability to pay.

At this time, the center has capacity to serve additional dental patients, so please consider the Interior Community Health Center for your dental needs. Preventive dental services include child and adult exams, cleanings and fluoride treatments. Restorative dental care includes fillings, extractions, crowns and dentures. The dedicated, caring providers and support staff will take excellent care of you.

Don’t overlook this gem if you’re in need of health or dental care.

The Interior Community Health Center, 1606 23rd Ave., is open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
