Letter to the Editor

The wrong question

To the editor: I have been listening to the following radio ad for the past year. It starts out like this. “As humans we ask ourselves all kinds of questions, but what if we were forced to ask ourselves a question every day that affected the outcome of some of the most basic things, the most important things in our lives? The question is, ‘What is your sexual orientation or gender identity.’” I would suggest that this is the wrong question. Like all of us, they have a sin problem (an immoral act considered to be a transgression against Divine law).

How one chooses to deal with this question has monumental consequences. To date LGBT leaders have not dealt with this fundamental problem. Instead, they fabricate claims of discrimination and try to attach themselves to a government entity. Once “protected” status is achieved, they can use the government to coerce and subjugate anyone who does not agree with their lifestyle — usually Christians. It’s kind of like “If we can beat down the Christian messenger, maybe we can feel OK in our sin.”

Wrong question. Wrong answer.

Deal with your sin as God calls us all to do.
