Shame on who?

To the editor: Shame on Tammie Wilson and Dave Talerico? How about shame on Terrence Cole (Daily News-Miner, July 12)? Did it ever occur to him or others that Wilson and Talerico are doing exactly what their constituents want them to do?

I’m a widow living on a fixed income. When Walker’s administration took away part of my dividend, they took money that I was depending on. I’m one of the “poor” whose loss of the dividend is over 35% of my yearly income.

I worked for a government agency. I saw plenty of waste with items replaced that were in perfect working condition, replaced specifically so that there would be a continuation of the budget money coming in yearly.

I applaud Gov. Mike Dunleavy and anyone else trying to curb government spending. Government needs to downsize. Legislators need to learn to live within a smaller budget, tighten their belts — just as us “poor” folks do.
