Letter to the editor

‘MAGA,’ indeed

To the editor: The Very Stable Genius has unleashed genocide.

Over 100,000 Kurds are fleeing an invasion by the Turkish Army and their mercenary killers. It is expected that number will grow substantially in the coming days with an estimated 300,000 forced from their homes, including 100,000 Christians.

Turkey’s aim is to kill and/or drive from their land the Kurds who have historically lived in that part of Syria and to replace them with Arabs.

The VSG decided to give Turkish President Erdogan the genocide green light without consulting with the Department of Defense, the State Department, Congress or our NATO allies, let alone the Kurds.

To see just a tiny example of what the VSG has done, do a Google search for “turks execute kurds.”

Brett McGurk, the special presidential envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter ISIS from 2015-2018, posted a tweet reporting on one of the murders that Turkish media is celebrating. A 35-year-old politician, Ms. Hevrin Khalef, was reportedly dragged from a vehicle and shot to death.

Note, the VSG has invited President Erdogan to the White House next month.
