An old man’s words

To the editor: Hello God, it’s Sam here. I’m an old man now, but I wanted to let you know I’m so sorry to hear of your firing by the borough for your handling of the climate in Fairbanks. There seems to be some concern about the weather here. Apparently some feel it’s not cold enough in the winter and too hot in the summer. I’m sure it’s a tough job.

I know you have been taking care of this issue since time began, but apparently the Borough Assembly has decided it can do a better job. I want you to know I appreciate all that you do. If you ever need a reference, it would be my privilege to furnish one.

If you have any questions, I guess you can direct them to the borough. I’m sure they can help.
