Letter to the editor

A joke of a column

To the editor: Thank you for another comedic fluff piece from Washington Post columnist Marc Thiessen. Your devotion to entertaining readers with his laughable arguments is impressive.

The Thursday paper highlighted the “Democrats’ double standard on Ukraine” fairy tale. In Thiessen’s stand-up routine, he said it was the same for U.S. senators to request international investigations to continue as it was for the U.S. president to arrange foreign intervention in the 2020 election. Pretty funny! I love equating legal investigations with impeachable offenses.

I can’t wait for Thiessen’s next piece on why the White House’s cover-up of the Ukraine phone calls is proof of Democratic wrongdoing. If he does, I know we can count on the News Miner to print it.
