To the editor:
It seems that some of our local politicians have lined up behind Gov. Sean Parnell to give the oil companies major tax breaks without so much as a promise of Alaska investment. You would think that since these politicians are supposed to be working for their constituents they would fight like demons to keep profits from our oil, but you’d be wrong.
Folks in the Fairbanks North Star Borough need to know that Pete Kelly, John Coghill, Tammie Wilson, Alan Dick and David Pruhs have double-crossed us with their support for oil tax “reforms” that would give away $2 billion every year. We have an election in two weeks. Let’s not let them off the hook.
