FAIRBANKS – A fire razed a mobile home with additions Tuesday morning in the North Pole area, according to the North Star Volunteer Fire Department. A wood stove is the suspected source of the fire.

The fire was reported at 8:41 a.m. at 898 Memory Lane. Firefighters arrived to find fire coming out the roof. No one was home.

A wood stove probably caused the fire, based on the location of the flames when firefighters arrived, Chief Jeff Tucker said.

North Star sent seven vehicles and 16 people to the fire. Fort Wainwright Fire Department provided mutual aid.
