North Pole Middle School honors James Walters

FAIRBANKS — North Pole Middle School students and staff will honor student James Walters who died in a tragic accident, the first day of the current school year with the James Walters Memorial McHenryball Tournament from 2:30-5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, at the NPMS gymnasium. Admission is $2.

More than 20 teachers and 80 students at NPMS will participate in an athletic tournament of champions, benefiting both Fairbanks Youth Football and Cheerleading, and Fairbanks Boy Scouts.

The will play McHenryball described as dodgeball meets capture-the-flag. There will be concessions and a silent auction. Everyone is welcome.
