FAIRBANKS*—Five North Pole pitchers combined on a one-hitter and Tyson Herold and Carmen Teel each batted 3 for 3 for the Patriots in a 16-2 win over the Eielson Ravens in Wednesday night’s Mid Alaska Conference high school baseball game at Wright Field at Newby Park.

Tyler Hill, Tyler Chrisman, Chad Freeman, Jason Donald and Herold each pitched for an inning and totaled six strikeouts for the Patriots, who improved to 3-1 conference and 6-2 overall.

Herold’s three hits included a two-run home run in the top of the first inning. He drove in three other runs and scored four runs.

All of Teel’s three hits were singles, and he brought in two runs and scored once.

Cody Ladd and Austin Heineken scored for Eielson on Patriots errors in the bottom of the third inning.

North Pole returns to Wright Field at 7:15 Friday night to take on the Lathrop Malemutes.
