FAIRBANKS - For more than 20 years the Midnight Sun Lions Club have been providing gift wrapping services in exchange for donations that they share with area non-profits. Suzanne Price, organizer of the annual event, figures they wrap more than 5,000 gifts on an average year.

" I bought 6,000 bows during the after-Christmas sales last year," Price said. "Not every gift gets a bow either."

"I've noticed a lot fewer electronics this year," Price said. "People seem to have more gifts but they're practical."
