ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Officials at the Anchorage airport say a hazmat team found nothing hazardous after four workers became nauseous at a FedEx package sorting facility.
The Anchorage Daily News reported that the affected workers reported symptoms about 3 p.m. Thursday. Part of the facility was evacuated, but airport Police and Fire Chief Jesse Davis says workers were allowed to return about an hour later.
FedEx spokeswoman Shea Leordeanu says two workers went to a hospital for observation and two were treated on site. All are expected to make a full recovery.
Leordeanu says FedEx closed part of the facility while agencies to checked the area. She says about 150 workers who were temporarily relocated were back at work by late afternoon "doing their part to deliver packages for Christmas."
