Multiple charges

• Eleanor Lynn Defrenchi, 26, of Anchorage, was charged with fourth-degree assault and disorderly conduct and Stephanie Joekay, 27, no address given, was charged with driving under the influence and refusing to take a breath-alcohol test during the same March 30 incident.

According to charging documents, Defrenchi and Joekay showed up at a Lyle Avenue house while Alaska State Troopers were investigating a possible domestic disturbance there. Joekay appeared to be intoxicated and told troopers she drove to the scene. Defrenchi went inside while a trooper tested Joekey for driving while intoxicated. The trooper with Joekay had to stop in the middle of the tests in order to render aid to the trooper inside with Defrenchi.

According to the charges, Defrenchi was loud and belligerent and refused to be quiet or leave the residence. The trooper inside the house tried to place Defrenchi in handcuffs and she responded by punching him in the face. Defrenchi continued to resist and called both troopers derogatory names during the struggle. Defrenchi was arrested and placed inside a patrol vehicle. The trooper resumed Joekay’s field sobriety tests, which she failed. Both women were remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center.

• Brittany Lee White, 33, of Fairbanks, was charged with felony first-degree promoting contraband, misdemeanor fourth-degree drugs misconduct and violating conditions of release March 30. According to charging documents, Fairbanks police responded to Walmart after getting a report that she was in the store and in violation of her bail conditions. White was arrested for the bail violation and remanded to Fairbanks Correctional Center. Corrections officers found a hypodermic needle and a small bag of methamphetamine in White’s bra.
