Public safety report - July 20

The Public Safety Report is compiled from criminal complaints filed in state and federal courts, as well as some police blotter information, trooper dispatches, fire department reports and interviews with public safety officials. Individuals named as arrested and/or charged with crimes in this report are presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Assault

• Michael Patrick Kimberlin, 23, of Fairbanks, was charged with second-degree felony assault after he allegedly pushed his wife to the ground Thursday and pushed his knee into her neck in the 1600 block of Goldizen Avenue.

The woman was able to run out of the house for help. When troopers arrived, Kimberlin was passed out and struggled with them when he awoke, according to charging documents. He also was charged with resisting arrest.

• Oren J. Nicolet, 46, was charged with third-degree felony assault after he allegedly threatened another man with a knife Saturday in the 400 block of University Avenue. Nicolet became upset with the other man and they began to argue while watching a movie, according to charging documents.

DUI

• Dianna Andre, 24, of North Pole, was charged with driving under the influence after Fairbanks police received a report Friday night she had driven to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital intoxicated to drop off a patient. Andre reportedly smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech and poor balance at the time of her arrest. She also was charged with refusal to submit to a chemical test.

• Michael O’Shea Brennan, 53, of Madison, Ga., was charged with driving under the influence after Fairbanks police received a report Thursday night that he was “staggering” out of Reflections. He was pulled over in the 400 block of Merhar Avenue. A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.175.

• Robert S. Champion, 23, of Wasilla, was charged with driving under the influence after Alaska State Troopers stopped him for driving without lights on Saturday on Bjerremark Street near 26th Avenue. A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.096, more than the legal limit of 0.08.

• Robin B. Grant, 20, of Fairbanks, was charged with driving under the influence after troopers pulled him over Sunday on the Elliott Highway near the Old Steese Highway for driving with only his parking lights on. A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.091. He also was charged with driving with a revoked license and minor operating after consuming.

• Bryan Scott Jordan, 29, of Fairbanks, was charged with driving under the influence after a troopers pulled him over Sunday morning on Geist Road after witnessing him toss a cigarette butt out his window. A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.135.

• William Allen Keber, 42, of Fairbanks, was charged with driving under the influence after Fairbanks police stopped him for weaving and speeding Saturday afternoon on the Steese Highway near Monroe Street. A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.133. He also was charged with driving with a revoked license and driving in violation of limitations placed on driver’s license.

• Ian Walter Robert Mabie, 22, of North Pole, was charged with driving under the influence after Fairbanks police contacted him Saturday morning in the 700 block of Bentley Drive while investigating a reported domestic assault. Mabie reportedly smelled of alcohol and had bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and poor balance at the time of his arrest. He also was charged with refusal to submit to a chemical test.

• Mark Christopher Saucier, 34, of North Pole, was charged with felony driving under the influence after North Pole police pulled him over for speeding Saturday on Eighth Avenue near North Pole Middle School. Saucier reportedly smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes at the time of his arrest. He also was charged with felony refusal to submit to a chemical test and violating conditions of release.

• Arthur Gabriel Solomon, Jr., 22, of Kaltag, was charged with driving under the influence after a trooper contacted him Thursday in Kaltag while investigating a report that Solomon had run over a bicycle with his four-wheeler. He reportedly failed field sobriety tests and had slurred speech at the time of his arrest.

• Flora Tukeyeck Rock, 61, of Fairbanks, was charged with driving under the influence after troopers stopped him for weaving Saturday near 275 Mile Parks Highway. A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.106.

• Craig James Titus, 24, of Fairbanks, was charged with driving under the influence after troopers received a report of racing Saturday on Chena Pump Road near Rollands Road. A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.154.

• Cheri Dee Vallee, 35, was charged with driving under the influence after authorities received a report Wednesday that she left Interior Mechanical after taking seven Xanax pills. A drug recognition exam showed she was under the influence of a depressant and unable to safely drive, according to charging documents.

• Mackenzie R. Wiley, 23, of Fairbanks, was charged with driving under the influence after Fairbanks police stopped him for speeding and weaving last month on the Steese Highway near the Richardson Highway. A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.124. He also was charged with driving with a revoked license.

Theft

Troopers received a report Monday that an undisclosed amount of copper wire was stolen from a Fairbanks business during the weekend.
