FAIRBANKS — Sen. Lisa Murkowski said she’s discouraged by much of what she sees in Congress today, and that includes the growing role that outside money plays in elections.
While speaking at the 11th annual Ladies That Lunch Committee Spring Luncheon on Tuesday, Murkowski said she’s concerned by the deep-pocketed influence of political action committees. She said PACs with “bazillions of dollars” have become too big of a player in the process.
