FAIRBANKS — A Fairbanks man was sentenced to serve an 18-year sentence Thursday for the sexual abuse of three different juvenile victims during a period between 2005 and 2012.

Daniel F. Weir, 38, pleaded guilty to three counts of felony sexual abuse of a minor under the terms of a plea agreement.

“There’s really no more horrendous crime than sexual abuse of children and that is reflected by the Legislature’s harsh punishments,” Superior Court Judge Douglas Blankenship said as he handed down the sentence.
