A 3.7 magnitude earthquake shook buildings in the Fairbanks area at 11:46 this morning.
The epicenter of the quake was 16 miles southwest of Ester at a depth of 10.6 miles, according to the University of Alaska Fairbanks Alaska Earthquake Center website.
Those who felt the quake report it as a quick, sharp jolt with varied degrees of shaking, depending on their location. There were no immediate reports of injuries or damages.
