Fairbanks police are asking for help in locating a missing woman.
Davi Lynn Booth, 27, is living in Fairbanks for the summer and waiting tables at a local restaurant, according to a post on the Fairbanks police Facebook page. Booth did not show up for work July 1 and her co-workers reported her missing July 5.
According to police, one of Booth’s coworkers received a written communication purporting to be from Booth at some point between July 1 and July 5. The message said Booth was traveling to Anchorage, was fine and would be back by July 15.
The message could have been sent by someone other than Booth and it is uncertain where she is or if she is safe, according to police spokeswoman Yumi McCulloch.
Booth is described as a white woman, 5-feet-6-inches tall, 180 pounds with an average build. Booth has brown eyes, straight brown shoulder-length hair and wears glasses. She was last seen wearing black leggings and a long-sleeved purple T-shirt and may be traveling with a running group, according to the Facebook post.
Anyone with information about Booth’s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Scott Adams at 450-6500.
