People Power Art Show

Evon Peter jokes with the audience at the People Power Art Show on Saturday at the Fairbanks Center for Natural Medicine before leading them in a prayer. 

The People Power Art Show on Saturday afternoon was hosted by Native Movement and Fairbanks Climate Action Coalition to "celebrate and uplift local artists," according to Native Movement.

There was art by local visual artists, live music and spoken-word performances.

Designer Leila Pyle chose to feature the black-capped chickadee for its resilience. The bird stays in Fairbanks through the winter. The Fairbanks Climate Action Coalition was formed after the 2016 Paris Agreement.
