FAIRBANKS — The body of a 64-year-old Fairbanks man was found early Friday morning on the sidewalk outside a Fairbanks apartment complex.
The Alaska State Troopers received a report of a person, possibly deceased, lying on the sidewalk at 5:25 a.m., according to a trooper dispatch. The man, 64-year-old James Stowman, was unresponsive and transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Stowman’s next of kin was on scene and has been notified.
“There are no signs of foul play,” trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters said in an email.
The man appeared to have collapsed on the sidewalk and — after calling for help — a family member tried to revive him but was not successful, she said. She didn’t immediately have information about the location of where Stowman was found.
