House approves sweeping crime reform bill

JUNEAU — After much hand wringing and gnashing of teeth, the House approved a sweeping crime and corrections reform bill created by the Senate and carried by North Pole Sen. John Coghill.

Nearly an hour and a half past midnight and the planned end of the 28th Alaska Legislature, the House unanimously passed Senate Bill 64.
