FAIRBANKS — Soldiers of the Stryker brigade at Fort Wainwright will be firing live AT-4 anti-tank rockets on the small arms complex Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.

Soldiers from the brigade’s 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment will fire approximately 48 rounds, according to a notice from the Army.

Residents living near the range and motorists on the Richardson Highway may experience vibrations and hear the explosions.

The AT-4 is an 84-mm unguided, portable, single-shot recoilless smooth-bore weapon built in Sweden, according to the Army notice, which also says the AT-4 is one of the most common light anti-tank weapons in the world.

More information is available from the Fort Wainwright public affairs office at 353-6700.
