FAIRBANKS—Fairbanks police have identified the body of the man found dead Wednesday morning in Noyes Slough and are asking for information from anyone who may have seen him recently.

The man has been identified as Tyrone W. Ryder, 41, of Fairbanks. He had recently been reported missing by family members, according to a police department news release.

Ryder’s body was found in the slough near the Old Steese Highway at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday. There was no evidence of foul play, and he most likely died of exposure based on initial observations, Detective Scott Adams said.

Police are asking anyone who was recently in contact with Ryder to call Adams at 450-6552.
