FAIRBANKS — Latex gloves, bed sheets, oxygen tubing and a bloody syringe are among the items allegedly stolen early Wednesday morning by a patient leaving the Fairbanks Memorial Hospital emergency room.

Fairbanks police received a call at about 1 a.m. from a hospital security guard. The guard said 60-year-old Fairbanks resident Robert Carl Luke stole about $300 in hospital supplies and had broken into the SHARPS biohazard disposal box after being treated at the emergency room. The complaint doesn’t state what he had been treated for.
