Santa’s Christmas Camp is back for the second year at Midnight Sun RV & Campground at Mile 248.5 Parks Highway.

Denali Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center invites community businesses and members to set up campsites with holiday spirit and holiday lights. Think up a theme and bring that theme to life. Reserve your spot at events@denalichamber.com.

Opening night is planned for 6 p.m.  Dec. 12. Residents can check out the festive display from the warmth of their own vehicles.

Angel Tree

This year’s Angel Tree is located at Three Bears Grocery Store in Healy. Each Angel ornament lists the age and sex of a child in the Denali Borough who will benefit from receiving a gift for the holidays. The Angel ornament and gift must be returned to Three Bears by Dec. 13.

Ages range from newborn to 18 years old. Some generic gift ideas are also listed on each Angel, as helpful hints. The Angel Tree is part of the Neighbor to Neighbor program, which helps families in all Denali Borough communities.

This year, gift boxes will be organized ahead of time for each family, which should speed up packing of boxes on Dec. 17.

This is a longtime Neighbor to Neighbor program, which helps families in need during the holidays and all year long. This year, 60 Angel ornaments are on the tree.

Neighbor to

Neighbor

Collection boxes are also located throughout the Denali Borough, as Neighbor to Neighbor prepares to stock food boxes for families in need this holiday season.

Donate any canned or dry foods to the box. Or donate financially, which also helps fill food boxes for families in need. Christmas boxes will be distributed on Dec. 17.

Healy Bazaar

The community holiday bazaar in Healy will take place 1-7 p.m. at the Tri-Valley Community Center on Friday.

Local artists, crafters and other vendors will sell their wares. A special childrens’ shopping corner (for fifth graders and younger) is available, by donations only, to find special gifts for parents/guardians.

Santa Claus is expected to visit at 2-3 p.m. and 5:30-7 p.m.

Buy smoothies, tacos, soup and bread. There will be door prizes hourly and raffle tickets will be given to anyone who donates non-perishable food or who helps support any of the participating fundraising groups.

Buy that special gift and then get it gift wrapped before you go.

More information at 683-7789 or DPLCboard@gmail.com.

Cantwell Bazaar: The Christmas Holiday Bazaar in Cantwell is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at Cantwell School. There will be refreshments and music. Denali Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center will offer a kid’s craft table.
