Alaska Redistricting Board should stop stalling and get to work

The Alaska Redistricting Board deserved the harsh rebuke it received last week from Fairbanks Superior Court Judge Michael McConahy for stalling on the important task of drawing election district boundaries.

McConahy said the board has discussed having a proposal ready by August, but its schedule does not leave enough time to “promulgate a plan, have hearings and seek judicial review.”
