Chenault touts momentum behind in-state line

JUNEAU, Alaska - House Speaker Mike Chenault says an in-state natural gas pipeline project looks to be the only pipeline project moving forward in Alaska.

Chenault has been an outspoken supporter of an in-state line to help meet Alaskans' energy needs. He told reporters Friday that he hopes there's commitment behind a major gas line project that would be capable of overseas exports. But he said the timeline for that project is unclear.
