Anchorage man, 18, critical after hit-and-run

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Anchorage police say an 18-year-old man is in critical condition after a being struck by a vehicle early Saturday.

Police say the driver of the vehicle drove away after the collision.

Police say the man was walking with another friend on the edge of Huffman Road, just east of the New Seward Highway overpass, when a dark color sedan struck one of the men.

Officers arrived to find Tevin George unconscious, unresponsive, and suffering from a serious head injury. His friend was uninjured.
