ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A 21-year-old Anchorage man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges that he escaped from Cornell Corrections of Alaska.

Federal prosecutors say Jedediah Smith remains at-large since his Nov. 1 escape.

Smith was first indicted last month on charges of a felon being in possession of a firearm. He was assigned to Cornell Corrections on Oct. 14 by a federal magistrate judge.

Prosecutors say Smith faces up to five years in prison and a fine of $250,000, or both, if convicted.

Law enforcement officials say if anyone has any knowledge of Smith's location to please call the U.S. Marshal's Office at: (907) 271-5154.
