JUNEAU -- A Juneau business is offering to help pay its employees' electric bills.

Kent Adams, who manages eight employees at Willie's Marine, says he brought the problem to the attention of a board member for the business' out-of-state parent company.

The board member, Frank Gaughan, called back a day later to say the parent company - Doc Warner's Enterprises of Bountiful, Utah - would cover the increase in employees' home electric bills.

Juneau residents are faced with skyrocketing costs after an avalanche wiped out transmission lines.
