An unusual furniture sale is scheduled Saturday at the Fairbanks Community Food Bank at 725 26th Ave. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The tables, chairs, desks and other furniture from rooms in Pike’s Waterfront Lodge have been replaced with new items. The local Kiwanis clubs, the Key Clubs and the Circle K club are selling the donated furniture to benefit the food bank. The items can be viewed online at www.fairbanksfoodbank.com.
The auction is part of Kiwanis One Day, a global volunteer action day for the Kiwanis.
