ANCHORAGE -- Just four teams - all rookies - remain on the Iditarod Trail.

Ninety-six teams began the 1,100-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race from Anchorage on March 1st. Defending champion Lance Mackey crossed the finish line to record back-to-back wins last Wednesday. Four-time champion Jeff King was second with Ramey Smyth coming in third, his best Iditarod showing.

At this point, musher Deborah Bicknell is vying for the Red Lantern Award. That's the award that goes to the last musher to finish the race.

Bicknell has left the White Mountain checkpoint and was headed to Safety on Monday. From there, it's on to the finish line in Nome.
