Individuals named as arrested and/or charged with crimes in this report are presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Theft

A man reported more than $700 stolen out of his bank account Tuesday. Fairbanks police are investigating a suspect in Germany.

Vehicle collision

A Fairbanks woman was taken to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital following a vehicle accident Tuesday night on University Avenue.

Mary Walmsley, 47, was driving a 2003 Toyota Highlander northbound on University when she ran a red light and struck a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Jennifer Penaherrera, 25, of North Pole, according to Alaska State Trooper records.

Penaherrera was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-lifethreatening injuries. Walmsley sustained minor injuries and was treated and released at the scene. Both vehicles were totaled.

Walmsley was cited for failure to stop at a red light.
