ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Geologists in Alaska say a minor earthquake struck in the Prince William Sound area several hours after another short temblor shook the Cook Inlet region.

The Alaska Earthquake Information Center says the 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck Monday evening about 39 miles west-northwest of Valdez. The center says it was felt in Anchorage but no damage has been reported.

A magnitude-4.0 earthquake also struck in the Cook Inlet area in the morning. It was centered 29 miles west of Anchorage.
