To the editor:

For all fellow military, active and retired, it is time to take responsibility for our district and vote on Nov. 6.

There is a new state district that includes North Pole to Nordale and Freeman roads, Eielson Air Force Base and north Salcha. There are two candidates fighting for your vote for that district seat, but, clearly, only one has the experience, wisdom and heart to succeed. That one is Doug Isaacson.

As mayor of North Pole, Doug has been stepping up to the plate every time the military has been targeted. Eielson Air Force Base has always been a very productive and influential part of North Pole and the military. Each time Eielson has been put on the chopping block, Mayor Doug has promoted its importance and led the fight to keep the base active.

As mayor, Doug has been lobbying tirelessly for North Pole and the military. As a fellow military veteran, Doug knows the hardships our families go through and is very aware of the responsibility to represent us in government decisions.

Doug has been actively asking the residents what their needs are and taking action on their behalf. I urge you to get the word out that clearly states Doug Isaacson is the candidate for the job at hand. Get out and vote Doug Isaacson for state House District 1 on Nov 6.
